but each and everyone of my calander events set off an alarm.
i what the calander to sync with my outlook from my computer, but i want all of the calander events to be silent.

Strange, never had this problem. What phone is it, P990i, W950 or M600? And do you have the latest f/w?

The default setting for outlook if to have an alarm to notify you of an event/task so that is why your phone is picking this up and enabling the alarm on your sync'd tasks.
On your phone you can manually edit each event/task and un-tick the "Alarm" option and then save.
Hope this helps.

Hello,
I have the p990i phone with lastest Firmware.
i know i can turn the alert off from without outlook, or from the calander on the phone, but if i turn them off the phone, it snycs with outlook on the computer which i dont want.
there is a option in the calander for the alerts to be changed, i turn if off in there, and also in the alrts from the control panel, but still the alarms go off.
if needed, i will just stop the phone to sync the calander with does not seem right that you cannot use the calander!

Does the option of having a second calendar in Outlook help this for you. E.g. keep one for the Phone and one for Desktop ?

it would be nice to see the main calander on my phone, but without any alerts what so ever.
i am going to change the sync options not to sync the calander now, as i have a lot of calander events that go off at midnight 1am and 2am, which keeps wacking me up, so it is no use
unless someone can find a way to turn off the alerts, without the need of two calanders, or turning them of manual for each event.
