I dont know if this happens also to someone else, but when I use the bluetooth head set sometimes happens that when changing track it just stops playing and it remains completely stuck showing on the screen the title of the previous song. the only solution I have found is to reset the headset plugging in the power adaptor.

I think it is due to the title of the songs that the hs-ds970 cant read properly. Sometime ago though turning on the headset and starting the music the headset showed a message saying that it was not possible to see titles while playing and only that time the headset worked without any problem.

Otherwise another solution that I have found is to increase or decrease volume when the song changes. in this way the headset changes the title of the song properly and everything is fine.

Do you know if there is a permanet solution?
thanks

Hi eroG
I had a lot of problems with my HBH DS970 and my W950. I had the same problem as you plus when I turned the headset off the phone would freeze and I had to re start the phone. I sent my phone to SEunlock in Scotland and had my phone debranded (was orange) and latest firmware put on. Phone and headset now work fine, no problems at all.

Hello,

thanks for the answer.

I have the latest firmware available for CDA /1 and now the headphones work a bit better than before..but it still freezes every now and then..

Same here, my original SE version works great. I've not had a single problem with it ever and it sounds absolutely AMAZING with my W950i.

From what I hear, there are LOTS of fake DS970's around and they are all having problems and sound sub-par. There's a web site with really good info on how to check and see if your DS970's are fakes or not. However, I don't recall the link off the top of my head. Does anyone know it?

since you think tht yours are fake ones do you encounter problem with them when in use?

btw I bought them on ebay but if they are fakes it s to late to send them back. Anyway I have checked the web site linked and they seem original from the pictures...

I wonder if I buy a pair here original and the next day I bring back the pair I already have to have it replaced with a new one not faulty do you think that they would notice that they are fakes?

I know there are plenty of fakes about, but I bought mine from Sony direct.
As you are aware there were quite a few bugs in the original firmware. Since upgrading the phone is 100% better. I now have no problems with sound, freezing etc. My firmware is:

Phone: CXC 162037 R9EA001
BT: CXC 162058 R3A01
Organizer: CXC 162088 R4A11
CDA: 162014/1 R4A07

so what you are saying is that you had problems with your original headset before upgrading the fw (same problems I have mention in my first post)?

anyway I have already updated my phone to the latest fw for CDA/1 (R4B02) and although now is more stable it still freezes every now and then...
At this point I think that I have got fake ones.
I am planning to buy a new pair here in Italy but it will take me some time to receive them...I have already asked and it takes from 10 to 20 days for delivery.
