Hi,

I'm trying to update my firmware on my k800i.

I downloaded the latest version of SEUS, and followed the instructions. When the program is "updating software" on my phone it stops at 76% and then the program returns to the beginning.

My phone no longer turns on or does anything!

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi,

Welcome to Esato!! Do you see a RED light near the Infrared panel flashing when you turn it on. If you do, let us know and we'll tell you what to do next.
BTW..Have you tried re-updating the firmware

Hope this helps

Hi,

my phone doesn't turn on! so therefore, no red light.

currently the phone is a brick.

I've tried updating the firmware many times, but it gets stuck at 76% and doesn't complete the process.

Thanks

Try turning the phone on and look at the Infrared Panel. Just turn it on to see it the light comes on

What happens if you plugin the charger and then turn it on

still nothing.

the only time i can get any life out of my phone at the moment is when I run the SEUS software and do the "hold down C and insert the cable" routine. But then I get the problem at 76%.

I'm having a bad gadget day - put my ipod through the washing machine this morning!

Remove SEUS and try installing again. If that doesn't help try this as a last resort

thanks for the help - still no joy though.

i uninstalled SEUS and tried it again - same problem.

I also tried the Wotan software and that kept failing as well (7 euros down the pan!).

I'm getting a bad feeling about my phone now!
