hey folks, just swapped my t68i for a v70. for those who own it lend a hand to this poor newbie will ya?
q1: what on earth are the (up/down) buttons on the rotating cover for? since u can't assess the menu while the cover is closed anyway!i honestly haven't found a single use for it
q2: setting up my voicemail number, i know its supposed to be under messages>voicemail number as was said in the menu but i can't find the thing!
q3: is there a way to remap the volume key to use it to change profiles? coz at the moment i gotta keep opening and closing the cover to assess the menu!
thanks a lot

Now thats a hard phone to use.
I used it, enjoyed it, but got pissed at the way it is supposed to work, takes quite an effort to make it work...
Good Luck anyways!

Hi, those bottons are for when you have your headset plugged in ,not sure about the voicemail, mines already preloaded into the phone.
Sorry but to my knowledge you can remap the volume key,
how you finding the phone, looks good but is lean on features.

well believe it or not i traded my t68i for this v70...at first, the v70 delivers what the 68i couldn't do for me, and that is havin the screen permeantly on so i get notified of missed call/txt and all. so that's the plus side. and they obviously improved on the software, coz the old motorola i had(startac/v50) ain't so responsive. evern tried assessing the menu while the phone is searching for a network? you'll know what i'm talking about
as for the current situation...personally i think the up down button on the cover is a collosal waste of time. are you sure it can only be activated with the handsfree in? it'd be so much more helpful if i can activate them at any time!
not being able to remap the volume key to change profile is a bum, but i guess that can be marginally compensated by mapping the right softkey to change it
as always the tones motorola are from the 60s so no praise there! but i do like u can change the txt tones
as for not being able to enter the voicemail number...still haven't figured it out.
i have a stubby aerial and the reception is cut by about 30% but since i'm in urban area it shouldn't be a problem...
anyhow if anyone got any tips and neat tricks for the v70, please share your wisdom!

i think the buttons on the rotating cover are used when you have the handsfree kit plugged in to adjust the in call volume?
