Can you send black and white picture messages to a Nokia phone?
If so, how, and where can I find some.
If I can make my own, how? What format should I save them as, size, etc.

They should be stored as WBMP (Wireless BMP) on your PC. Maximum size is Height*Width=1024. For example 32*32 = 1024.

Yes you can send picture msg back to nokias. You may be getting mixed up with EMS pictures which you cannot!
The size of nokia pic msg are 72x28 & WBMP I have a few in my t300 and send them to nokias. when writing a message press 'options' key then 2.insert item then select 5.picture msg (NOT 1.picture as they are EMS pics) your phone will then look to see if there are any pictures which fit the nokia format.
