Has anyone managed to get an album of various artists to play in the correct order??
For some reason 2 of my albums of variuos just refuse to play in the correct order. Not a biggie but it's annoying when listening to mix albums.
If anyone has got this to work can they help as it's annoying the crap out of me!!!

It's already on smart and it still doesn't play correctly.
My files are tagged correctl but i've since read that the smart function sorts in the following order: artist, album and then by track number or title.
Maybe i'm missing something but this seems daft to me. I would have thought that we could choose how to sort tracks ourselves.

I suppose one way to sort it would be to make the artist = various artists and have the artist and title together in the title field. Bit of a pain but it might work.
Are there any id3 tagging applications available for UIQ3??

I use WMP 11 for id3 tagging but, i can't emulate the problems everyone is having here as all of the various artist albums and others display correctly on my w950 and i use disc2phone to load the music!
I wonder what the problem is.......?

So now i've got various artists in the artist field and artist and title in the title field.
Hope that makes sense but it seems to work for me and all the tracks are in the correct order.
I think the reason it happens for me is that the album that caused all the problems for me has 2 tracks named the same(but different remixes) and that seems to have confused the smart sort function. Other VA albums work fine for me.
Still I might email SE and ask them to include an option for users to specify which id3 fields it sorts by.
