Quote:An anti-war song that features a Tony Blair lookalike being arrested by his wife Cherie's real-life sister dressed as a policewoman is set to enter the top 10 single charts on the back of recent protests over Iraq.
The song has been released by Ugly Rumours, who have used the same name as the prime minister's student band. The cover of Edwin Starr's song War (What Is It Good For?) was promoted at last weekend's anti-war demonstrations. Early sales figures show it could be heading for the top ten this weekend, according to Music Week magazine.
In the video for the song, the band's performance on the roof of an apartment block is interrupted by the MP George Galloway and Lauren Booth, a journalist and the sister-in-law of the prime minister. The pair, who are both vocal critics of the Iraq war, are dressed as police officers for the stunt.
The song was first released as a download. Ben Grey, who produced the song, told the BBC News website: "Marches and rallies can be dismissed and ignored but a hit record will mean everyone is talking about this issue." Next month will mark the fourth anniversary of the invasion of Iraq.
Mr Grey said: "Imagine what a message it would send to the world if this record was number one during that anniversary."
HMV spokesman Gennaro Castaldo said: "This is another example of the far reaching impact that downloads have had on the charts in recent months. "Whether it's through the influence of social network sites, fan clubs, radio DJs or, as in this case, political coalitions, people now have the means to make a concerted effort to get any song in the charts so long as it's available to buy digitally."

This is great...anything to highlight the Anti-War issue can only be a good thing!
But Blair doesn't seem to give a monkeys what the public thinks, I hope somehow by some miracle he's held accountable for the many thousands of innocent people hes directly responsible for being killed!
