Hi All,

I'm trying to get these three talking together and not having as much luck as I'd hoped

The most important one for me to get working is the Tungsten to T68i and for the purposes of SMS, phone book entries and dialling it is functioning fine, the devices are paired and can talk.

What I want though is access to web and email via the T-Mobile GRPS network through the T68i. The configuration screens imply you can do this fine but it doesn't work...

You get some kind of script error.

Is there anyone doing this successfully that can impart some advice?

Also, as a secondary aim i'd like to be able to synchronize with the PC via Bluetooth as well as access the internet via the DSL connection on the PC too.

Thoughts?

Thanks in advance

Matt.

The step that puzzles me on there is "confirm your bluetooth software is using a com port" or something like that... I looked at it last night.

When I go to the bluetooth icon and select bluetooth serial port on the tungsten it says that the tungsten isn't presenting that profile.

So what am I missing ?

you know how to pair your desktop with your t68i right? then you should understand what is the com port mean. I can't tell you much cause basically the com port my pc using is different with yours.

Yes I can get a bluetooth serial port to a com port via the T68i, but when I do the same for the Tungsten it just says the Tungsten doesn't support this - yet it seems fundamental to the info on that URL so something isn't quite right

I'll keep fiddling

Aha, i'm figuring it out slowly

According to the bluetooth software it is set up to provide it on COM4. So I set my hotsync up to use that and voila, hotsync now works great via Bluetooth.

I disabled the hotsync on COM4 and then downloaded MochaPPP, I set that up for COM4 and Windows CE as the article suggests and then tried to establish a connection - it says "initializing", then "signing on" and then times out, nothing happens on the computer screen while this is taking place.

Thoughts ?

Thanks again

Matt.
