No difference, it's just some people will refer to it as a K800 and some as the K800i. The K800i is the 'official' name for the phone.
There's the K790i as well as the K800i, the main difference between those two phones is that the K790i is 2G and the K800i is 3G capable and has a second VGA camera on the front of the phone for video calling.

No problem, glad I could help! It's probably someone being lazy and not bothering to put the extra 'i' on the phone name!

For many

models, there have actually been more than one model variant for the same model number, with different suffix. If I remember correctly, the K700i was for the western european and american market, while K700c was for the asian market. The main difference was the language support, and that the 'c' model did not have T9 but had support for input using asian character sets. Therefore, speaking of the model without the 'i' suffix, people probably mean that model in general while if they put in the trailing 'i' or 'c' mean that particular variant, so my conclusion is that it sometimes IS a difference between K800 and K800i even though you cannot buy a 'K800' without the suffix.

Very impressive! The first k800i that I bought was from Greece and all the hardware and leaflets were printed with k800i. The second k800i I bought was from the UK and the hardware and leaflets stated k800 were as the box had k800i on it. This was why I was confused, also the menu icons were different. As you said it is due to the different languages. I did prefer the Greek k800i but unfortunately it was stolen!!
