Hi
Suddenly my W800i is saying emergency calls only no matter where i am. Does anybody know how i can fix this and get a signal back?

Sounds like the phone is getting a signal but on another network, which means you can make emergency calls only. Could be the aeriel's been dislodged or it's not making a proper connection with the phone's mainboard.
The other option is that it's been blocked/blacklisted, hopefully this isn't the case though!

I bought this phone second hand about 6 months ago and i have just changed the fascia and maybe as you say i have dislodged the ariel. Is there any diagrams anywhere that show me what it looks like and how it should be positioned?

There are some guides on taking K750is/W800is apart over on
SE-NSE, the K750i and W800i are pretty similar phones.
I would suspect the aerial just needs resiting a bit or the three gold prongs on the aerial where it connects to the phone need bending (carefully so they don't snap!) back up so the make proper contact with the phone's mainboard.
