I've got an O2 branded UK model W850i which I've tried to update on SEUS but it always says no updates are available.

So I thought I'd go the Wotan route, as the new R1JC002 CID51 firmware is out.

I've bought a credit, and the software detects my phone but says :-

WARNING!!!!
Old CID49 phone detected. We recommend to upgrade, new firmwares may be CID 51 only.
This upgrade will cost you 1 credit

Now you can choose main and filesystem files, and alter other settings

From the list, I can oly choose up to firmware R1GB001 - R1JC002 isn't listed anywhere

There is a tick box to "Upgrade to CID 51" but this ghosts out most of the other settings and still doesn't allow me to pick R1JC002...

Also, to completely unbrand my phone so I can upgrade it via SEUS in the future what else do I pick? I'm guessing I should pick "Generic Trade UK (Europe 2)" as the CDA - Is this right?

Also do I need to select "Finalize", and what does "Enable full featured networks menu" do?

Any help would be much appreciated as I'm sat here trying to figure it out and the Wotan site isn't much help - I've logged a support ticket but that could take days or weeks!

I thought this would be easy

if u use the search here, u ll fint many links about wotan and its service. there are so many, didnt know which one to link here, pls try it on your own...

ps: do feel for u, but wotan isnt a very trusteable site in my eyes, its childish to offer service without any support

I've spent the last hour searching here and to be honest, I'm no nearer about what settings to pick.

One thing I did find was that it costs 2 credits to get from a CID 49 phone to a CID 51 with the very latest firmware - They didn't make that clear when I bought the credit though. Hmmmm...

Anyway, I'm going to upgrade to CID51 and the R1GB001 as that's all it will do using a single credit so all I now need to know is

Which CDA do I pick for UK O2 phone to get it unbranded and to make it upgradedable by SEUS in the future?

I've found a couple of comments saying don't use the generic trade CDA as they won't upgrade via SEUS in the future but they are the only ones that mention UK. Should I pick one of the Generic Europe ones instead?

Anyone??

@cubik: On each phone detail page you see what CID is firmware for. Is true that there is not much info about this issue. I will add some info on the site asap. Comments you found about Generic CDA are from pplz who doesnt know what they are talking about. For UK please choose "Generic Trade UK"
