I will try and keep this updated with the latest FW's available, and that way try to stop people having to ask these questions.

CDA Region FW
/1 Generic World 1 R4B02
/2 Generic World 2 R4B02
/3 Gen. Switz/Italy R4B02
/8 Gen. Singapore R4B02

Anyone with different CDA's please PM or post them and I will add them to this post. Especially those of you with branded Firmwares, this helps to illustrate the difference between branded and debranded FW.

CDA
This "number" defines which variant of a specific firmware a phone is supposed to have. It lets among others SEUS (Sony Ericsson Update Service) know which languagepack/branding/brandlocks a phone is to be flashed with. Generic world CDA's are /1 and /2, which are the most frequently updated, there are other Generic CDA's for other regions, however there are also LOTS of Branded CDA's which will only allow the phone to be flashed with the specific branded FW, most branded FW's are generally considered to be absolutely crap.

The CDA can be found by going to More -> Status and reading the line that says CDA.

@Menane,

Yes I have seen it however it is Wrong, the Generic world CDA is NOT R4A07 it is R4B02 so it is easier to just keep this one right than to rely on a source to update it, when that source is already outdated.

I purchased my w950i from Germany in the beginning of november last year, right after it was released in Europe.

Here is the cda line:

CDA: CDA162017/32 R3A01

Since the purchase I updated once in middle of january to the version above, and I have to say I'm pretty happy with the software. No memory problem, no restarts, so I'm wondering if it worth to upgrade to the new version.

Could anybody say something about the changlog of the new firmware R4B02?

Hi,

Any idea whether updates for W950i CDA Version: CDA162017/18 R1A12 is available? I tried updating the same using SEUS, but it suggested that I am already using latest software.
Pls help.

Regards.

@seunlock-uk:
Why not just update that other list (menane's link) instead? It's a wiki, and you don't even have to register! Just click "edit" in the top of the page and go ahead.
I don't see the meaning of this thread when that list exists and is editable by anyone, not just you like this thread. (Not that I don't trust you, but anyway.)

Good point, never really thought of updating the other list, just thought we would help members out by having a place where they could contribute to the list by replying with their cda and its latest FW, that way we could cover more CDA's than any one person can remember off the top of their head.
