Hi People
I wonder if any apple mac users can help me out? I am getting a mac mini on monday ( really excited ) but i have a question, i have the BT Voyager 210 ADSL router, i currently use the ethernet connection to have it working on my XP Windows comp, but i used it without installing the BT CD. Will I have to install the BT CD on the mac os X operating system? or Should i be able to connect away without any problems using the ethernet connection?
Reason why i am asking, is that I do not have the BT CD anymore. So can anyone else?
Thanks in advance
Miyagi

nah man, macs are plug and play with network things, just plug in your eithernet cable, and it should work automatically, did with all my macbook pros and recently my macpro.
Saying that I wanted to get the net on my mac pro, no good reason, but just seemed cool. I got a spare ethernet cable, and plugged it into my macs, then change one setting under sharing, and I now have internet on my mac pro. (it doesn't have wireless)
After doing that I thought it must be able to do more, so ran a software update and downloaded like 300 meg in about 3 min and did the updates to the mac pro.
So when I had a quick look at other sharing stuff I found out I can fully browse my macbook pro and all external hd's etc using my mac pro. This allows me to mount say a disc on my macbook and then view it on my mac pro. All I had to do is change a few basic settings (tick boxes) and enter my username and password. Thats not allot in the grand scheme of things, but really easy to use.
Looks like setting up a fully working network is piss. I also looked at turning my macbook into a server, again was very easy.
