Hi Folks,

Pretty new to this firmware updating - would like to know if there is a solution to the "detection failed" message towards the end of the firmware update procedure.

Back ground - I'm using a DSS-20 with a k700i (currently R2A041 and ITP CXC 125 813 R1S). I installed the SEUS ver. 2.6.11.7 (auto updated to 2.7.2.5). All running under Win2000 SP4.

The setup seems to be running fine as the file manager and PC suite run/connect fine but when I perform the update the detection failed message is displayed. Interestingly enough if I leave the SIM card in the k700i I get a message "latest software installed".

Any help would be really appreciated.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but don't you need the DSS-25 SyncStation rather than the DSS-20?

either that or only certain serial-numbered DSS-20s are compatible with SEUS, you might need to do a search of the site on the subject, I'm sure I've read it somewhere about that!
