I am considering to buy it shortly. Is it easy to remove the keypad to make it slimmer? If I take out the flap keypad, how can I make a phone call? Is there any numeric keypad on the screen or the QWERTY keypad instead?

What is the most updated firmware and where to download it?

Thanks,

Scott

hi,yes it is easy to remove the pad just take off the battery cover and remove the screws.and for making a call by the QWERTY just press and hold the space bar for 2 sec and the call app will popup.and for updating it you can by yourself at home by SE update service or take it to the SE service center in your area.

the latest F/W is R4B03 ORGANIZER.

Thanks for your useful information. I am going to buy it. As the price for Parellel import one has a great difference from local Sony, I would consider to buy a parellel import one. How can I get the latest firmware as obviously I cannot get it from the local Sony shop? Any guidance from such purchase?

Thanks,

once the flip is removed, and you are in the phone application, on top of numbers on the screen, you can also use the number keys on the keyboard, together with the '*' and '#' symbols without one having to hit the Alt key twice (which needs to be done when in writing mode).
I find this very useful to know.
