"best" is a very personal thing dependant on personal priorities etc, etc and range available and price is a bit of a lottery here in Thailand but I have had the SE DS-970 for a few months now and think they are expensive but well worth it - very comfortable, reasonable sound quality, easy access to controls and work well with the P990 for both music and phone calls, my only negative is the real battery life (average 4-4.5 hrs, I use about 2-3 hrs per day so need to remember to recharge every day) and the "tampon" hanging down is sometimes a bother if you don't have a shirt pocket
I like ear bud style so that has ruled out many of the other options (eg Nokia BH-501, Plantronics 590, Moto HT820 etc) I am still trying to find a Nokia BH-500 here to check out - it may be a bit better battery life, smaller control unit and I think about the same price or slightly cheaper than the SE DS-970, and it has a 3.5" jack to use other headsets with
to possibly tempt me away from ear buds, I am waiting for the MotoActv S9 to be released here!

I have the Plantronics 590A and I love the bass it produces! The only other I had tried was a fake SE hbh-ds970

, so of course it sounded crappy.

Hi drgopoos
I have and have been using the Nokia BH-500 it is a really nice small unit with all the necessary controls plus comes with a bluetooth dongle included. Can't comment on what the included headphones sound like as it has a 3.5mm jack and have only used my Sony headphones, the sound is really good IMO you can hear every instrument and sound separation is good as is bass response. I defiantly prefer them to the HBH-DS 970 as bkkguy put it the Tampon thing dangling down although giving you track read out and caller ID is a real pain IMO. Also wasn't that impressed with battery or sound performance although the sound may of been down to the combination with a M600. For further info and picture of BH-500 and it's size there is a thread for it check it out.
