> I like my p990i - WTF
Bookmark topic
As a few of you may know I was one of the first here to have the p990i, I was also probally the first to sell it within 3 days. Needless to say I didnt get on with it as I had hoped, and I was never quite sure why.
Since then I have used so many phones, but my main phone was a n73.
I have just got another p990i and I actually like using it, I have no idea why as its slow and the camera is a bit shit, the firmware needs a update, and wi-fi is slow. There is just someting nice about using it, the querty keyboard and nice big display are a bonua, also even the keylock is nice to use....
I have had the phone for just over a day now and am liking it so far, its a bit big and I look like a total geek using it, but I don't care lol.

I've always maintained that the P990i is very underated, people are finally begining to look past the sometimes sluggish UI and firmware issues and really see what the handset is capable of.
The P990 is the best all-round Smartphone out there i think and i asbolutely love mine!

think nearly every p990 can comfirm the 1st few months it was just another brick on my desk
but after a while decent SW updates came available, and it's quite usefull now.
i still miss the top/bottom bar from uiq2 which made working with the phone so much faster.
i'm quite curious if it's possible to install uiq2 on p990,

I'm ashamed to admit it, but I am considering leaving the world of Sony Ericsson - well at least for the time being.
I've had all sorts of phones - candybar, flip phones, swivel phones - but all of my life I have never had a slider. A slider is now where I am looking to put my money, and currently Sony Ericsson have done nothing very original with their phones. They are releasing loads of phones, but really a vast amount of them look very similar.
So, I am selling my black and white W900 on ebay (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=330098347202&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT&ih=014), and think I am going to be temporarily deviating to Motorola or Samsung until Sony Ericsson make something a little more......unique!

I think i appreciate it more as I have been using a n73 for a few months which had to be said was shit...
I think my main problem with the phone is its thickness and the fact I cannot sync with my mac...

looks like my p990i is coming to an end... didnt last too long.
As much as I like the phone, and its features its begining to hurt my leg! The phone rubs in my trouser pocket and me leg is a bit raw lol....
looking for something smaller may go back to an old school w810i or possibly a k750i the last good sony ericsson candy bar
