Short for ‘wireless fidelity’. A term for certain types of wireless local area networks (WLAN) that use specifications conforming to IEEE 802.11b. WiFi has gained acceptance in many environments as an alternative to a wired LAN. Many airports, hotels, and other services offer public access to WiFi networks so people can log onto the Internet and receive emails on the move. These locations are known as hotspots. The speed of wifi depends on the connection put through it.
WLAN is a wireless local area network hence the name. Like connecting all the pc's in your home using a wireless router and dongles.
DSL means digital subscriber line and it comes in two flavours. ADSL (asymetrical digital dubscriber line ) like most people's internet connections with the download speed faster than the upload for instance 4MB dload and 512kb upload.
SDSL is symetrical digital subscriber line, meaning both download and upload speeds are the same, generally SDSL connections in homes aren't as fast as ADSL for downloading and are more expensive.
T1 & T3 are the names telecommunication companies like BT name rented network cables running underground through optical fibres on a superior internet connection straight from the ISP
I got the first paragraph from wiki as they explain it better but i think i did an ok job of explaining DSL and the rest.
T3 would provide some of the fastest speeds you'll ever see but you'd have to remortgage every year to afford it.

Mines going a bit slow, normally I get about 6 MB/s out of the 8 MB/s. I guess because it's peak time...
