> unable to use GSM only on K610i

I have a 3 branded K610i and after looking on the SE website read that the phone can be used on GSM only. When I went into settings>connections, I find there is no option to use GSM only. has anybody got a solution to this. the phone is unlocked as my son currently uses it with an Orange sim.

Being from the Netherlands, I've no experience with "3" , but I know, their network is UMTS only. So in their branded phones, they've probably disabled the possibility to switch to GSM only, because they don't have a GSM network.
You'll have to debrand the phone to be able to change the settings to GSM only.
