Hi all,

I just bought a w950 and is very happy with the product as such. I started to synchronise it with outlook and it appeared to work just fine. All contacts and calendar items appeared in both phone and outlook - or so it seemed.

I regularly use the "note" field in calendar entries and in contacts for various additional information. I enter stuff like anything from the name of a friends kids (in contacts) to e.g. travelinformation (for a calendar entry).

My problem is that the "note" part doesnt get synched! Or actually, it partly does. To be exact, if I open the note field on the phone and enter something in it, it will get transferred to outlook. But not vice versa! E.g. if edit the note field in Outlook, it will not get transfered to the phone! Very annoying.

Anyone seen this too?, is this the way it is supposed to (not) work, and/or have anyone found a remedy for it?

Any input much appreciated!

ps. Dont confuse this problem with synchronising "Notes" and/or "Tasks", I am refering to the note-field that you can use in Calendar and Contacts entries. If it matters I use Outlook 2000, but my guess is that it applies to all versions and all UIQ phones...

from my eperience, the PC suite is not complete, so i concur, there are bugs. i am having issues with my contacts. the ones i have voice tags attached get duplicated evry time. i decided not to sync the contacts anymore.
Did not use note fields, but don't expect PC suite to reproduce 100 % your Microsoft fields.

OK.. just tried it agian here using Outllok 2007 and version 1.2.15 of the PC suite (and USB cable)
(I have it set to sysnc everthing, email, bookmarks, contacts ,notes, tasks etc.) Phone is latest firmware.

1. Sync the phone serveral times to check that nothing is synced either way.
2. Add a note on a contact - OK.
3. Sync Phone - Contact Updated on the Phone.
4. Synced again. Sync software claims to of updated contact again ?
5. Synced again - no changes.
6. Edit the contact Notes in the Phone.
7. Sync again. - Outlook contact updated ok .
8. Synced again . Sync claims to have updated Outlook again?
9. Syncned again . No changes.

Removed the phone from the USB link.

10. Updated contact in the Phone.
11. Reconnected the Phone and resynced. Contact updated in Outlook.
112. Resync again. no changes.

So apart from the issue that it sometimes syncs the data again this seem to work ok here.
