Hi Guys, I am a newbie here and I just got a brand new Sony Ericsson P990i. It cost me a bundle but it's worth every penny. I previously owned the P910i and I can say that Sony Ericsson has really outdone themselves again in the P series smartphone. The 262k, 240 x 320 pixels color display is really top notch, when in touch screen mode the handwriting recognition is superb, I usually end up writing a whole email using this method, because of this, I am worried that I might scratch the screen with my stylus, so I'm thinking of buying a high quality screen protector. Any recommendations?

i don't like screenprotectors, when 'writing' on the screen it feels unnatual due the platic surface
i have an insurance to all my phones so i don't bother a damaged screen.
however those screenprotectors realy extend the displays lifetime

Anyone ever heard about Expert Shield screen protectors? I've found their website on the internet and browse through it. They carry quite a lot of screen protectors even some for GPS device. I have decided to try their product out and ordered one for my SE P990i. I have also ordered one from Brando for my sister's O2 XDA Stealth as well to have a comparison. Will keep post about the comparison. Oh by the way, anyone interested in can go into
www.expertshield.com to see for yourself. Cheers.

Hi there again, I have applied both Expert Shield's screen protector to my O2 XDA Stealth and Exim's to my sister's phone. Here is what I come up with
Expert Shield
PROS
1) Scratch resistant, very durable
2) Washable with tap water and reusable
3) High transparency and surface is smooth
4) Package comes with microfibre cleaning cloth and sticky tape
5) Almost no screen glare
6) Perfect fit
CONS
1) A tad confuse at the installation instruction
Brando
PROS
1) Scratch resistant, very durable
2) Washable with tap water and reusable
3) High transparency and surface is smooth
4) Easy installation
CONS
1) Writing surface is not as glossy as my sis and I would like
2) Almost perfect fit
Conclusion
Both Expert Shield and Brando certainly risen to the occasion. After applying both protector and using it I found that both of them have no difference in terms of durability, visibility and usability, Expert Shield's screen protector has a slight edge over Brando's though because writing surface of Brando's screen protector is not as glossy for my taste, while the protector makes the screen anti-reflective, and virtually glare-free; it also seems to dampen the screen a bit, and make it appear slightly milky. Expert Shield's screen protector comes bundle with sticky tape to remove the screen protector if needs be and a microfibre cleaning cloth. I like the fit of Expert Shield's screen protector on my SE P990i better than Brando's on my sister's O2 XDA Stealth. Although I was a bit confused at first when putting Expert Shield's screen protector but it becomes quite obvious and easy once you understand the instructions.
That's all for now. Hope this helps.

The best screen protectors are the Exim SPUC ones (NOT SPOC) ones. I use them for both my M600i and O2 Atom. When using it doesnt feel as if i have a screen protector on. They usully go on eBay for like 15bucks.

I bought and tried the Exim SPUC before and it works just fine, the only gripe I have is that it doens't include a microfibre cleaning cloth, so I have to use normal clothe to wipe my screen clean, the normal clothe just doesn't clean as well as the microfibre ones, that's why Expert Shield's screen protectors trumps Exim in this aspect.
