Hi.
I'm completely new to this, so forgive my ignorance! I've used the 'Search' facility to try and find the solution, but i can't, so here i am!
I've just recently downloaded the new Theme Creator on my Mac-it's the latest edition, from the website. I had been using an older version prior to this, but still had the same problem. All my intention is is to design some theme's for my personal use-i'm a Graphic Designer so it's quite fun just to knock one up on my dinner break or something.
I've encountered a problem importing images. I have edited a few images in Photoshop-as in created a new document (176 x 220 px), and edited images to fit the document. I've then saved the document as a Photoshop JPG, and set the quality to around 6 (which if i remember is medium). I've then gone back to theme creator, and gone to 'Import' the image as the main screen image. I'm then presented with this error message:
http://img.photobucket.com/al[....]440Man/Random%20Stuff/setc.jpg (it's just a link to my Photobucket account). And in response to the question i'm being asked, it is a valid image file-saved as a .jpg.
The file, once saved is a proper .jpg file, the file size is around 80-90kb-which i thought may be too big, but loading a .jpg i already have on the computer which is around 188kb and different pixel dimensions will load just fine.
I don't get it. What i had to do in the end was get the images on screen (actual size) in Photoshop, and use a third party screen capture program (Snap n Drag) to capture the image. Then when i import into Theme Creator, it does it no problem. Am i missing something here? As i say, it's my first real attempt at doing anything like this, so any guidance/advice is welcomed.
Cheers,
Dan

you might have a too high dpi for the jpeg file ... i'm just guessing
or you jpeg encoding isn't right.
play around with the save settings with photoshop when you select the jpeg format
