I just read an article in laptop that said ericsson will back out of deal with sony if they don't start making money soon. Has any one else heard this

Yes, it is quite old news but was nothing serious. Sony said they will do anything to make the partnership work. I think that if they break up it will be the end of both companies - in the mobile phone market.
