If you mean POP3 access, your provider, in this case yahoo, should provide the details to setup the POP3 access.
go to the account settings, and then look for the the POP settings.
In a nutshell, these should be the settings:
When you set up your email client, you may need to check the email settings to make sure they are set up to work with your AT&T Yahoo! service. We've compiled a chart of AT&T Yahoo! mail server (POP, SMTP) and news server (NNTP) information for your convenience.
To locate and verify your email settings in Outlook 2002:
1. Click on the Tools menu in Outlook.
2. Click on E-mail Accounts.
3. Click on View or change existing e-mail accounts and click Next.
4. Select your AT&T Yahoo! email account and click the Change... button.
5. Verify these settings:
* The Incoming mail server (POP3) and Outgoing mail server (SMTP) fields contain the correct mail server settings.
* The User Name field contains your full AT&T Yahoo! email address (e.g.,
YourName@sbcglobal.net).
* The Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA) box is NOT checked.
6. Click the More Settings button.
7. Click on the Outgoing Server tab.
8. Verify these settings:
* The box next to My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication is checked.
* The radio button next to Use same settings as my incoming mail server is selected.
9. Click the Advanced tab.
10. Verify these settings:
Note: When updating the secure sever settings, check SSL checkbox first, then update the port number setting.
* The Incoming mail (POP3) should be port 995 and the box next to This server requires a secure connection (SSL) is checked.
* The Outgoing mail (SMTP) should be port 465 and the box next to This server requires a secure connection (SSL) is checked.
11. Click OK.
12. Click Next.
13. Click Finish.
