I was hoping my M600i would be smart enough to figure that out...guess not. Just want to know if p990 or W950 have better luck or not.

Are you sure you enabled automatic DST then?
Menu > Tools > Control Panel > Device > Time & date > More (M600/W950) / Title menu (P990) > Set updates > Check "Set daylight saving time: Automatically". You should also change "Update system time" to "Ask me".
I don't know if that works, but it's disabled by default. It might follow European (Swedish?) rules and not change until 2 am (which becomes 3 am) on the 25th. Although, since the "Update system time" thing is related to the network, I guess it also gets the DST stuff from the network.

yes, I know about the update time and daylight saving setting, and have set it to ask me. One thing I don't know how to do is force it to update or sync the time with the network. Sometime it will do it once every other day, sometimes it wont come up for a good week. I am with Tmobile by the way.

I am a US P990 user with the same problem. I am with T-Mobile and have Outlook 2003 on a Windows XP system. I downloaded the Windows XP and Outlook update for the new March 11 DST, but when I synch, all of my P990 calendar entries are 1 hour earlier than when I entered them in the phone. The times in Outlook are just fine. Puzzled.

@lecco:
As far as I've understood, the time is only sent to the phone when it connects to a new base station (and if it differs more than a certain threshold (don't know what), the phone will ask you if you want to change it). Try this out by setting the time an hour or so (just to be sure, a minute or so should work fine too) off, go to flight mode and then back to normal phone mode. You should get a question if you want to update time.

I have a P900 and under the Time/View/Time/Set day&time menu I just check the DST checkbox for my region.
Works like a charm.

My P990 did not "spring" the 1 hour, but my wife's S710 did. Hmmm.
No idea why the difference though.
And this is on Cingular

Yup, same with my p910. But there is no such thing that I could find with the p990 !
All the rest of you are talking about automatic update through the SERVER. I am looking for the MANUAL Summertime selector as it was in p910.
I don't want to use the network to update my timezone/time. There should be the option as it was in all the other se phones to have additionally the option when adjusting the time/date to select if its Summer or Winter time.

On my p990 its not such thing... only Set Time/Date and Set Location.
Thats it.

@michael the mage:
That's because you're not looking in the right place. You're in the Time
application, not in the time & date
control panel which I said you should go to! Anyway, from where you are, select "Set time & date" and then "Set updates" in the top menu of the new window.
