> K800i Vs K810?

I own a K800i and have been looking @ the spec of the K810. Apart form the asthetics and a few other little things, it seems much the same as the K800i.
Have Sony Ericsson just copied their own phone and re-packaged it to quickly as poss get over the mistake they made with the K800i? Damage limitation, I think thats what they call it...
Take a look, it's near on the same...

It's a fact, that people with complaints post these and ask for solutions to their problems, but you'll read a lot less from those, who are happy with their phones. Reviews are only interesting, when the phone is new, so what should an owner write about, when he doesn't have anything to complain ?
A new version, six or eight months after the "old" one, isn't called "damage limitation", it's called marketing. SE has done this before : W810i came on the market, eight months after W800i.
Nokia and Samsung also have different models based on the same phone and they are very succesful with them.

Another classic example is
's P-series fones . . . P800 - P900 - P910i and P990 . . . it should have been: P800 - P910i - P990 (no more P900)

The difference is really in looks and slightly different dimensions (thinner). The K810 does have photo lights for the keypad and an extra photofix application.
And it looks a lot better than the K800

All SE have done is improve a phone that was a
very successful product for them (although I know the keypad might be the exception for some.), so I'd hardly call the K800i a mistake.

K800i firmware support will stop as soon as K810i is out. R1JG001 may be the final f/w, with final 2.5 camera driver. Then, K810i will have further f/w development, which is likely in terms of its camera/Cyber-shot function. Just my thought, anyway..it may be wrong. K800i is a success by SE, and it's OK to release its sibling. It's up to us to get it or not. I may get it as well, but time will tell. So far, I'm very satisfied with my K800i. If K810i provides better camera shot, better stability and better features, why not,then?
