Dunno why my W900 heats up and drains battery very quickly. Drains battery in less than 2 hours. Any ideas why?

thanks a lot!

I'm not sure but I would seriously think about replacing that battery soon. It might go into meltdown taking your phone with it.

is your battery fake or you've been a long time with it?

Has the phone gotten wet or damp at all, even just a little bit?

Rapid battery drain could be a symptom of some sort of moisture damage, especially if it's getting hot as well.

Try another battery in the phone and see if you get the same result.

sounds like somethings gone on the main pcb, i suggest sourcing another phone soon as it could go any day soon! the drain confirms a faulty circuit which is over using battery and converting it into heat energy!

And don't leave it on overnight when you're asleep, unless you want to wake up in a pile of soot that was once your home.

ways to reduce battery consumption, turn off bluetooth, turn off 3G if you dont use it, and turn screen brightness down to 50%. this should help a bit
