> K800 with or without screen protector?
Bookmark topic
hi all
as most of you know the k800 has a very sensitive screen and very prone to getting scratched ....
until now i have used various screen protectors on it but none seem to leave the screen with the vibrant colors that it has without a screen protector ...
so here comes my question ... is it better to leave it without a screen protector and getting it scratched or keep it tucked under a screen protector thus rendering better re-sell value ?
and question number two ... how much would a scratchy(not very because i take real good care of my phones even when placing or removing from the pocket) screen diminish the value of the phone ?
cheers

I would leave the phone without any display protection. You never know what the glue in the display protector can do to the display... Besides, the K800i display glass is one of the most scratch resistant one compared to other phones I have owned, and on top of that, I have heard that the display glass can be replaced separately from the rest of the K800i housing, so a scratched display is a very minor issue in my opinion.

thx for the reply
the "glass" to me looks really fragile ... i managed to get a scratch on it god knows how in the first day(1st of august

)))) dough i bet only i can see it

) and have been using screen protectors ever since

didn't have nothing wrong until yesterday when i took it off and was like WOW !
well i know that screens are found separately but i think that dismantling the phone voids the warranty ... a thing i would rather not do before it has expired

The only thing in my pocket is my phone, the key's and change etc... are in the other pocket. If i put my K800i on a desk I place it face down as the Lens cover gets scratched. I just do all this out of habit now, and so far so good. I've tried screen protectors only to find they will peel in time and can be a nucaince trying to see the screen. I had a K750 for about a year and the only scratch I had on that was one on the screen when I put my keys in the wrong pocket! Not bad for year old phone eh?

hmm,i would not prefer protector...
"as most of you know the k800 has a very sensitive screen and very prone to getting scratched ....
"
wrong...
k800 display is scratch proof really, having mine for months under heavy and careless usage no scratches, but if we say maybe it happens, then as mentioned you can replace the glass, yes it would void warranty, but how much scratches are you gonna have untill warranty expiration??(it is'nt more than year,is it??)on the other hand you saying you're taking real good care of your phone,so what need to a protector...
besides,ENJOY that WOW.....

@black - I think it would be best if you will just get your K800 a leather case . . instead of installing a screen-protector on it. I really find it annoying to have my fones a screen-protector wheras it's NOT a PDA-fone one

For me, only PDA phones deserves

to have screen protectors as their screen is scratched most of the time by the stylus-pen . . .
