hi guys

just wondering how much ram(operating ram not storage memory) is now free after all these firmware updates, originally it was 15 mb but what is it now.
Thinking if getting one,i have a k800i at the mo so is it worth the upgrade?

The available RAM should not be your make or break decision factor. There are lot of other factors. With the latest FW, the phone is VERY stable.

I have an M600i ( same uiq 3.0) and I have 15.5 MB Ram.
You can think about this one too if you don't need WiFi and camera.

The highest free RAM I got after a fresh restart is 17.9mb, but with a level 3 memory reclaim using SM Pro, I had 19.6mb of free memory. That's quite a long way from the 15.5mb days

most I got was 18.5 MB. but normally, the memory settles at 11 or 12 MB after the main, activity, Bluetooth on and connection manager are running.

that it's a loaded question ....
if you read some of the posts here, the opinions are shared.
in the end it will be up to you and it will depend on what you need the phone for and how you use it.

I have around 14 to 15 mb ram left after a fresh start, and that is with ACM and SMS Spam Manager running in the background all the time. So for me its enought

With the flip on you just press "more" then status. If you use it with flip off then get SMP
