As if 2 cores weren't enough.

Looks like Apple's about to laugh in the face of puny core duo PCs with an eight core Mac Pro, but shhh, it's not official yet
Those twitchy Mac heads at the Apple Store have got a little ahead of themselves lately – by posting details of an eight core Mac Pro, before it's ready for release.
All mentions of it have now been pulled from the UK website but enough people have confirmed that they spotted it to make us feel that Apple might just be about to double up on its current quad core offering.
It's long been rumoured that Steve Jobs and co would be slotting two Intel quad cores into the Pro to create the behemoth eight. We didn't get to see it at Macworld, now it looks like it may be imminent. We'll keep our eyes peeled for any official announcements.
