Yes, I agree. This one is a must have. I really want this one to my beautiful P990i. Please, someone who knows how to port this over to UIQ3

it's not gonna be quick guys. this one must access system functions, like activate Wi-FI, Bluetooh, switch sound, switch the phone to flight mode.
this is at least what the OLD Magic Profile program used to do on my P900.
I expect nothing less than that.
But with the UIQ3, accessing system functions is kind of restricted.

it's all bout money, which the developers must pay. this another great idea on the UIQ guys. I had P800 and P900 and I had no issues with anybody hacking on my phone. They are saying these security features is what the users requested. Hmmm....DOn't buy that. It's just SE and UIQ wanna make more money off the developers...

mmm...yes - i have to agree - ive heard the same thing from uiq - sounds a bit suspect to me - certainly makes it extra hard to develop stuff for sure :/

What you say about difficult and costly might well be true, and as a developer I tend to agree. To me I would rather develop for other platforms simply because it easier and the payback better (bigger markets).
In the long run if they have done this to make money... then it is doomed to failure as less and less application will be created. E.g. Spiral downwards.
if it is done beacuse they are worried that the applications may not be secure enough, hence risk the platform integrity then perhaps more investment in improving the operating system may be needed.
Some of the most sucessful products have been where developement is easy.......mind you there are some drawbacks !

it's like with Vista's new security features. And that reminds me of the Apple's commercial on that. That is so funny and true. We the users must suffer. WHY?!?
