I have the latest firmware on World Generic 1 (P990i) and since the last firmware update, I have had no restarts on kern-exec errors...until yesterday.

Now for virtually any e-mail I download, I get a KERN-EXEC 3 error when the P990 tries to open the e-mail. I have had the latest world generic 1 firmware from when it was released and no problems until yesterday!

Has anyone else experienced this, or any ideas to resolve the problem(preferably short of re-flashing the phone again!)?

It shouldn't be like that but if you dont like to reflash again and similar just unmark mhtml option in message setting. Hope this helps.

had the same problem. it was so annoying!

did a reflash and now evrything is fine. give it a try. hope that will help

Thank you for your help. Hopefully the next firmware will fix this problem.

I didn't want to flash because it's of the inconvenience of flashing, followed by re-installing all the apps, when it seems likely a new firmware version will be coming soon.

I have turned off MHTML (thank you for the tip) and can live without it until the next firmware update, when I'll flash again.
