Vodafone has finally released a firmware update via the Sony Ericsson Update Application:
Phone:
CXC162037 R9EC001
Bluetooth:
CXC162088 R3A01
Organiser:
CXC162088 R4B02
CDA:
CDA 162017/18 R4A01
Update went pretty smooth but didnt upgrade in the same way as my M600 unbranded, as the update tool just stayed on the download page even whilst flashing the phone.
Also plugged it in last night and it didnt charge - a reboot and it seemed to be ok.
Software seems much improved especially the walkman app and a new Games Jukebox has appeared...

if you update does it wipe everything off the phone, including contacts, applications and saved data/messages etc?? if so should you do a full backup before? thanks

- Yes it does wipe the system clean - however the music files are kept
- Backing up in theory is a good plan however i've noticed in the past that there's no guarantee that the backup/restore works across different firmware updates
- There's always a small risk associated with flashing any device
- Make sure your battery is fully charged

I did a back up first, then restarted phone after upgrade then installed back up. It all worked perfectly.

tried this but seus hung at 100%, stayed like that for a couple of hours, i shut down the pc and unplugged the phone, when i turned it back on the update was complete???
bit strange but it did work.

hi guys, i wanna post some minor changes i found out in this phone. the option include video tracks is now working and added to the playlist, added a language also. any of u got another upgrades lists for this updates
