I saw this relatively cheap in a store in the mall (around $20). I tested it with my k750i but unfortunately, it's not compatible, the next and previous buttons would not work, only the volume. The salesman said it would only be compatible to walkman phones (figures because the headset has the W logo on it).

My question is, has anyone tried the hpm-82 with their w800i? Because if it works, I might consider flashing my k750i's FW to w800i.

Follow up question. If I flash my phone with w800i, can I go back to k750i?

The HPM-82 works 100% as it should with my sister's K750 flashed to W800. Play/pause, next and previous track and volume up and down all work.

If you flash to W800, yes you can flash back to K750.

I got a set of HPM-82's as a replacement when I sent my faulty HPM-70's away for repair. Not a bad deal I thought. I can confirm the HPM-82's work on my W800. Although, I do find they are a little slow to respond and on a couple of occassions the play, vol and skip buttons stopped working. This was resolved by disconnecting the headsets from the phone and re-connecting. Also, they don't work for turning on the Radio if you hold the play button down for several seconds - apparently this works with K800's.

I got my HPM-82 yesterday for my K800. All the functions work OK with this phone, volume, stop/start, next, prev & radio channel but I am disappointed with the sound quality. I've found them to be quieter than the standard ones that came with my phone and more tiny sounding. I've got some Phillips ones that are far superior to both SE ones. The control module & 3.5 jack are the real benefit to having the HPM-82. Can you let me know what you think of the sound quality? I've looked at them thoroughly and as far as I can see they're genuine and not knock offs.
