Is it just me or is this one CREEKY phone...try txting with it and the battery cover sounds like it needs some oil ( allthough prob not the best solution haha)
Any quick homemade fix for this, i'm thinkin about some tissue under the battery cover...

About putting paper beneath the battery cover, it may not be such a good idea as my friend whose K750 had the same creaking problem did that and had trouble removing the cover after that.

i'm also having problems txing...the #4 and #6 key seem that they need to be pushed harded or i need to push the battery cover in to get these buttons to work....(N)

The battery cover opens sideways with locks so paper would not be a problem.

I think the build quality is ok.
Itīs not like the old T610 ofcourse (no phone is) hehe.
But compared to many other new phones it equal.
My battery cover does creak just very very little.
Overall impression for a mid-end phone is good.
My old M600, K750 and so on did feel the same.
I have always bought high-end phones only, but after reflecting on what functions I need, I thougt this one did the deal, and it did.
Iīm not going to change it before SE realise a 5 mpix phone with good cmos/ccd, a good screen (hopefully with more than QVGA) in a small case, like the K550.
One thing that do annoy me is that the fast-port is placed on the side. I canīt have it in my CDS-60 stand anymore. (but in my pocket with the HPM-70 connected itīs better than having the connector on the bottom of the phone

candybars creaky esp T630,K700 otherwise its build quality is good according to me ..and a very well made phone to be exact

Anyone with a K550 mind telling me what games where preinstalled in your phone... My came with PuzzleSlider only and I'm starting to think my phone is missing some items in it. It also only came with one video in it. My K800 came with a lot more than that...
