Even if the W880i would have IR (but it haven't because of its reduced weight!) it wouldn't be able to control IR-Devices like TV or DVD-Players.
Control via BT should work fine as it did already with previous models...

It is not an OS as such like windows. it can't run sis files. it takes java apps
