> W850 Navigation Key Breaking!

Hi everyone,
I've had my W850 since November, and it's been pretty good until yesterday. Suddenly, when I was typing a text, the down navigation button stopped working. It now works intermittently, and often needs extra pressure on it to get a response - extremely annoying!
Anyone had any experience of this? Or similar with other SE keypads like the W850? I thought it may just be slow software, perhaps because my inbox was getting full or something, but it appears not. Same with my memory card/phone memory etc.
I don't suppose anyone has taken their W850 apart? I really can't be bothered sending it away to O2 Online, so I'm hoping for another fix!

edited to add: It's never been broken or spilled upon or anything either.

Though it shouldn't break this quick! I'd get it sent away for repair, it's a big inconvenience I know but be worth it in the long run

Isn't the bottom button on these things prone to cracking? I've certainly seen a couple of W850's with a crack in the bottom button of the direction pad and read several post reporting the same problem. It would seem this is a design flaw. It is interesting that your bottom button has stopped. Is there a crack? I'd take it back for warranty repair.

Well, I checked and I do indeed have the tiny hairline crack, had to use a magnifying glass to properly spot it. From reading the other thread it seems that it isn't causing other people the same problem as me (down navigation not working), but I feel it must be linked.
O2 Online say to take it into one of their shops, so that's better than sending it away. But... since I posted last night it worked perfectly for about 2 hours, but this morning it is 'sticky' and unresponsive again. So I'm worried that I'll take it into the shop and it will work fine as I am laughed out!
I don't play games at all on it, although I send a helluva lot of texts, so use the down button a lot. Thanks for your replies guys.

Your shop will probably send it away for repair unless it is less than 28 days old

i have read quite a lot about this issue, glad i did'nt buy a w850, i think SE needs to test their product's hardware in great detail before putting them on the market, the k750's/w800 joystick, w850's navpad, p series jogdial, and the list just goes on!, i mean just imagine how much SE and the end user would save if they actually did a bit of testing!

You can't do anything rather then sending the mobile to the service center's for getting repaired...
