Today i played with a T300, its cool but big and ugly.
Most things are like the T68i except for no calender or bluetooth but it has mophun games (very cool) and it CAN send picture messages to nokias!
But sinse it is basically the same as a T68 why cant anyone try to modify the T300 software to work for a T68?
or just add the the codes of the program for the mophun to the T68 flash files or something like that, not necessary SonyEricsson?

Dude, the only thing that is almost the same is the software.
The T300 differs a LOT from the T68 in hardware.

Sure? It shouldn't. The T68i was used to test the T300 software, so the differences can't be too important. But there are some: i.e. T300 has a MIDI synthetizer instead of a Bluetooth chip

Ok, not that different, but the layout and blue print of the mainbord is pretty different. And it doesn't have a synth "instead" of bt. Btw, who said that the sw for T300 was tested on a t68? Did you know what they tested? What functions?

Look here. It's a post on the "mophun" forum. They used T68 as a test platform for Mophun...

But that doesn't mean that they fully used it as a T300 test platform

Ok...so because SE had some test phones with Mophun makes the T300 almost as the same as T68 when talking hardware? Or did I loose the thread here? Just trust me, the hw layout of differs from T68. And that was my 1st point in my post. Sorry if I overdid it..

I wasn't refering to testing the entire T300 software, but instead some features of the T300 software (although I wrote the former), like Mophun or Nokia Messaging sending capabilities. did that 'cos both phones had similar architecture.

@fregor
For sure the board layout is different, as they are the weight and the capabilities of both phones, but generally speaking, they have much in common (i.e. the microcontroller core, the screen,...), at least they share the most important systems. Also, in my first post, I didn't mean exchanged the bluetooth chip from T68i with a synthetizer one. I was just pointing out some of the major HW differences: all hardware related to Bluetooth was stripped and new hardware supporting polyphonic tones was added.

Sorry for confusing everyone, it seems my english need further improvements

Your English is fine.
I see your point, let's leave it at that shall we?

Sure!

By the way, everybody knows the (obvious) features on T300 which are not present in T68i:

- Mophun
- Polyphonic melodies
- Support for MCA-25 (zooming, etc.)

Has anyone found anything more? I've read on another post that it supports sending Nokia Image Messages...

My girlfriend has just bought a T300 and I would like to know all the differences with my loyal T68
