HELP!!!
i am having p990i with latest firmware(R9EC001).I have recently bought a 4GB memory card but when i put it inside my phone and connect it to computer,the computer is not able to detect it.But my 64MB card works fine.Please tell me how to solve this problem.

You need to give us more information. What make is the card? Is it original? What connection are you referring to (USB, bluetooth, etc)? Is the card not detected in 'File Transfer' or 'Phone Mode'? Etc.
I have been using a Sony 4GB card with my P990 for a month now with no issues.

Through bluetooth,i am able to connect the card to the computer and use file manager.But through USB it is not connecting.Hence i am not able to use Disc2Phone and transfer songs to the card.
I am not sure whether the card is original or not.But the card is detected without any probelm using a card reader.
Even in the "File transfe" mode,the card is not detected by the computer.
I formatted it in the phone but for no good.

if it dint work, format in in your pc in FAT..NOT FAT32. i am using class A 2gb stick without any problems.got it for 1,500Php (close to US$30 only). i admit to myself it would be disposable since i cant find any original memory sticks here. using for almost 2months now. and im amazed with its performance..hehehe..it is good as hell!

I bought my 4g card from ebay. It is Sony badged but I've no idea if it's original or not, but it works ok which is all I'm interested in. I've found that Sandisk are also a good quality memory card and are the only brand I'll use apart from Sony.

I have the very same problem with a card I bought on ebay... thought it'd be ok, but it's crap!!!
Advertised as real, but is 100% fake. just going through the hastle of returning it to the seller.
What I would say is that ebay will support you if you bought it from there. You are entitled to a full refund (postage costs as well - both ways).

the only way I could tell was by the packaging (oh and it not working). Just waiting for a response back from the seller as I type...
