I created a note on my W810 and sent it to my PC. It showed up as a file named Object.vnt, which displays as follows in a text editor:

BEGIN:VNOTE
VERSION:1.1
BODY;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:{first line I typed}=0A{second line I typed}
DCREATED:20070321T180556Z
LAST-MODIFIED:20070321T180711Z
CLASS:PUBLIC
X-IRMC-LUID:000000000001
END:VNOTE

Also, if I send a text file from the PC to the phone, it gets saved in the "Web Pages / Saved Pages" folder, and will only be displayed in the web browser.

Is there no better way to send plain, simple text files back and forth?

Perfect! Thank you. And what do you know, a nice Mac utility for editing and composing Notes, too

On a related note, we need a better Search function here on Esato

I think all you really need is the begin vnote and end vnote code at the start and the end, with your text in the middle. and save as a .vnt on the pc notepad app and view with too.

I'll have to try that. must have changed the VNT format; the linked app in the other thread can't read the files created on W810, and vice-versa.
