> Texting on K800i

I've had a K800i for a few weeks now. I've noticed that when I'm sending a text and say, for example, I want to type the letter 'u.'
To get 'u' I have to hit the number '8' twice. Most times when I hit the number '8' twice it stays at the letter 't' instead of going to 'u' even though I have definately pressed number '8' twice.
This doesn't just happen when I want to type 'u', it happens most times when I want to use second and third letters ona a number.
Anyone know what the problem is?

I found out that everytime I am using a GIF-theme (moving) there's a slowness accessing the main meny to say, composing a message (just about everything that has to do with using the letters . . . but when I am using a plain theme (fixed image and NOT moving) this never happens . . .

It could be a firmware bug. I had that problem with the 2/abc key identical to yours, a firmware update via SEUS has all but eliminated it, it still does it occasionally but nowhere near as regularly as before!
Try a firmware update and see if that helps.

I have the latest firmware update for K800i and it still does it. This never happened with my K750i but happens way too often with my K800i.
I have a fixed GIF theme so that isn't the problem with mine. I really wish I could get this problem fixed as it is extremely irritating!

To check if it's a hardware problem, set your Key Sound setting to Tone.
Then Press the keys which does not work well. If you hear a tone for every press, then it's not a hardware problem.
