Hi Dale,
It does indeed look good but might make selling it later quite difficult as you will need to find some one with the same name and initials .LOL
Out of interest where did you have it done as both myself and Voda_Jon have been looking at Laser engraving, Beat_Junkie on here is very expensive and Laser Devils are not sure of the result on an 8800SE but are much cheaper so for now i have decided to do nothing.
I must say having only recently managed to get a brand new 8800SE they really are quite special IMO you just can't beat a nice solid all metal phone. It may not have the best spec but for calls, Calendar and E-mail it is all handled well as is streaming Music to a bluetooth Headset. Like you i just love this handset and really can't see myself selling it as you pointed out if going out and don't need many functions it's hard to beat it's size and quality.

Nice job, Dale!
As Marc says, selling it on could be awkward(the IMEI sticker is attached to the front lower('D.J') panel), although a back cover isn't that hard to get, so at least you don't need to find another Dale Jeffs!
Marc, you're right, metal phones do have that something over normal handsets, just found this again with the LG KE970.........if only

would produce one(pref. not branded, personally)!

i dont plan on selling it any time soon so thats not a problem. i dont think anything else in the same price range matches the feel and style of the 8800.
i had it done at timpsons in northampton. would of coast around £25 i was told but a good friend from school is the assistant manager so it only cost me £10! i gave him a bit of paper with the design i did on it and it was matched spot on! only took 10 mins to!
all round good deal

Very nice indeed, I'm after a black 8800 now.. I've had two silver ones and honestly wouldn't choose another phone.
I've had many SE and Nokia but it does the job supremely

this is the only nokia i would stick with. the symbian nokia's in my opinion just dont work! to slow and alot of problems over time. i'm sure i'll be happy with my 8800. thinking about getting another M600i or wait for the M610i to use as an everyday thing and keep the 8800 for specail occasions
if you want it doing get down to you local timpsons! brilliant service

Looks fantastic Dale, tempted to keep one of the 8800's that I have, and do something similar
