Im asking this coz Im trying to figure out my restarts when I get an sms. It doesnt happen all the time, around 1/20. Ive done the dance, reset+format, debrand, update to latest firmware, reset+format. I even did the whole shebang twice. I ran my phone with minimal software, just smp and 2 games.
Reading around, people been claiming that with the flip off, its more stable. I guess this is the last thing I should experiment on. But I want to hear other people's experiences.
Apart from the sms restarting my phone, everything has been ok. I noticed that it happens so far with FC. I really dont want to take the flip off....

I took the flip off not because of stability but because I like it. According to my experience there is no any diference in stability i.e. the phone is very stable in both situation - no self restarts or similar in my case. Also I have a lot of applications instaled.

Thanks for the replies..
Hmm if thats the case, I need to do further testing.
Ill try running the phone bare to isolate which software is causing the problem.
Lastly, I read somewhere that the sim card used also matters.. I need to check that as well I guess..

ok, here's an update...
after 3 hrs and 250+ sms' ive isolated the problem. it seems to happen only with the flip on, and when only opening a newly received sms. Ram may or may not be a factor as I used swiss manager pro as well as didnt use it at all.
It can also happen as early as 20 mins and above. I also borrowed a friends flip and used it on mine with the same result.
I think the phone is defective. Unfortunately, I bought it outside my country so warranty is pointless. I guess Ill just have to live with it and hope a future firmware fixes it, or use the phone without the flip.
Funny thing is, I still love the phone.. The hardware is there and i still keep on hoping SE could sort the bugs.
