Hi,
I’ve got a couple of questions about the K750i I recently purchased. Rather than making a million and one different threads I thought I’d bung them all into one.

If you could help me with any I’d greatly appreciate it.


Message Alerts
Is it possible to assign custom message alerts to individuals in my phone book?

Phone Book
Is it possible to set it so that I can view assigned images when browsing the phone book?
As I’m browsing rather than having to open up individual records.

Ringtones
I usually cut up MP3 for use as ringtones but what are the best settings?
By best I mean to get the maximum quality that the phones speakers are capable of whilst keeping the file size down?
Bitrate?
Sample Rate?
VBR or CBR?
Etc…

Volume
What’s the best volume to have the ringtone set on to prevent distortion?
It could just be the ringtone’s I have set but it’s hard to test as the phone only rings at full volume for an incoming call.

Security
Is it possible to password protecting files?

Keypad Locking
Is it possible to extend the key pad locking time as it lock up way to quickly for my liking?


If the things above can’t be done straight out the box are there any pieces of 3rd party software/modding that could help?

1. So how would I assign the custom message alerts? I know how to assign ringtones to individuals but wasn't sure if it was possible to do the same with message alerts.

2. Which patch would I need for password protection?

hi,MessageAlerts and PhoneBook,no not possible...no idea about ringtones...about security,as far as i know we can't do that with our SE java handsets...and keypad locking time is predefined and can't be changed...(couldn't understand volume issue,but it's not so hard to determine an apropriate volume,is it?)

sorry,but as it seems the answer to almost all of your questions go to NO
