Hi guys, many of u may flame at me for not searching lol but belive me ive read all the threads and posts on this topic, yes, i have to select between the sony ericsson p990i and the nokia n93.

I've always been a p-series fan, ok , now i'll tel u people my main use for the phone, i'm gonna use it for instant messaging the most.

right now i own a nokia n70 which is a series 60 phone, and i can use fring(for google talk) , and yahoo go 1.0 - yahoo messenger from it - which work flawlessly using gprs (im from india)

before this i owned a sony ericsson k750- and the only messengers available for it were mig33 and some other java messengers- which never worked on my network, i dont know why!

on my n70 right now- agile messenger doesnt work , only yahoo messenger and fring work..

now, i'll tell you guys my main problem which is stopping me from getting the p990i and bending me towards n93, its that p990i only has agile messenger and those java messengers- which wont work on my network, whereas i can use fring and yahoo go messenger on series 60, i really love the p990i and i really want it, but this is the reason making me goin away from it.... any solution/advice/help from u guys might make me go towards the p990i again would be really nice..

but i dont know why, agile never connects on my network... i mean i tried 2 diff. networks in my city and agile never worked..

Hi,

I use a w950 and use Agile messenger and it works great for yahoo,gmail,msn. I shift between pune and chennai and have no issues, probably it your network provider causing the issue, if you using Hutch then remember that you need "www" service and not GPRS to use messengers
