> Application reinstall

I have an annoying feature in my P990, hopefully someone can steer me right. In the past I have installed various applications on my memory card and have since formated updated the phone.
Whenever I restart the phone, or it restarts itself (not very often, usually just crashes) upon startup it will prompt me to reinstall the applications.
It could be one of two things, one i keep the sis files in a folder on my MS called SIS so its reading the card and prompting me to install or it is triggered from the old installs.
Any ideas on how to correct this, I would rather it didn't prompt me and that I could install when i decided too..
Any suggestions gratefully received.

In your private folder on the memory card will be the traces of the install. If you delete this folder you won't get prompted again, however anything you've since installed on the memory card won't work (but you could reinstall them)

am I right in presuming you install the apps on the MS?
In which case, everytime the phone restarts it kind of need to re-point to the installation. Just install the apps to the phone. You can keep the data part on the MS if they are big (like tomtom).

hi,
thanks for the reply, yes i install onto the MS to save space. I probably will delete the private folder then, as i'm trying to keep the phone clean to see if my frequent crashes reduce.
cheers

I have loads of apps installed on the phone, and it never (well nearly never) crashes.
Make sure you have the latest Firmware, and if it's locked to a vendor, I can't recomend getting it debranded enough.... you'll find most of the problems you have are due to the crap the vendors put on there for you...
