Sony Ericsson announced Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan as the company's brand ambassador for India and SAARC countries.

Sony Ericsson India General Manager Sudhin Mathur made the announcement in Mumbai. Hrithik will be endorsing all Sony Ericsson products and will be part of the company's marketing initiatives. The company aims to strengthen its commitment to the Indian market. Sony Ericsson has leveraged the platform of 'Entertainment' via several initiatives focused on Bollywood and sports. With this announcement, Sony Ericsson takes forward its association with Bollywood and entertainment in India.
Commenting on this special association with Hrithik Roshan, Sony Ericsson India General Manager Sudhin Mathur said, "India is a very exciting and high-growth market for Sony Ericsson. The company has witnessed this growth through launch of the most innovative products backed by a strong customer focus and exciting marketing campaigns that revolve around entertainment. With movies being the face of our society, Bollywood is one of the most effective routes to connect with the Indian audience, as it offers instant entertainment, instant identification, instant star power and strongly influences popular culture.""Superstar Hrithik Roshan was an obvious choice for us, as he is the perfect synonym for the Sony Ericsson brand values of performance, lifestyle and entertainment. SE sees idia as a big potential to win marketshare, thats why they are building a facotry their and thats why they have made this move.
while this is inportant just like the increase of phones on the US market i would like to see the plans for the korean market.
