02 have sold all these out and are selling Silver K800i's with normal boxes,
Ok so the phone was Special Edition to mark the Casino Royale.

Thing is for the people who own this phone and keep it till the end of the year or longer will it gain value or just sell like a normal K800i does on everybodys favourite eBay

I remember when the Aston Martin Motorola V600 came out there was so many thousands and they were selling for hundreds of pounds,

Im curious if the 007 will also do somewhat similar

What you members think?!

Not sure - depends how many were produced.

Also, I could quite easily flash my K800i with the 007 firmware, stick a silver facia on it and sell it as a 'legit' 007 K800i!

no chance it will gain value. at the end of the day its just a K800 with a few little extras.

there was also a James Bond T310 but that was soon forgotten, as will this one be

the difference between these and the aston or similar is that aston etc are targetted at such owners who are prepared to pay the price

hell, you can still pay £100 or more on ebay for a Jaguar version of the Motorola Startac which is available for £20 if it doesn't have the Jaguar firmware

nah, sorry, the JB K800 will soon be a distant memory. It was never really avalable for much more than the standard K800 anyway and some people here on Esato even "debranded" the JB stuff out giving a generic K800 which was therefore updateable on seus

Thats something knowbody knows how many were produced cos unlike the V600's they don't have a Batch number

Im sure anyone could refurbish the phones to make them like the 007 version but then the boxes will add more value if you have them

Either way when im finished with mine it's going on eBay starting at 0.01p so should be intresting to see if it does go for £100 or more

Hi Miss UK,

Personally i think if you have a JB K800 in mint condition with the original box and all of the goodies that were included and unopened. There will be a market for it outside of the usual phone market with James Bond memorabilia collectors as they seem to like buying stuff like this for instance the James Bond DuPont lighters seem to fetch quite a premium but i wouldn't plan on retiring from the proceeds though.

Doggman..

thats due to the fact that DuPont lighers are insanely expensive in the first place..

as for the K800i going up Kerry.. not a hope in hell..

i've yet to see any phone go up. some have stayed farly close to original value but never never up... (well not a bog standard phone)

as you say there's no guessing how many there are... and as such detracts away from the fact it's special edition.. it's almost like saying it's just a different colour.....

sorry..

But still when it comes to the end of the year I will pop it on eBay and see how much it does go for,

It only cost me £30 so if I get some extra cash on top of that it will do me nicely

Hi Fatreg,

Not so sure about insanely expensive especially compared to a VERTU but the point i was makeing is there are a lot of James Bond collectors out there and as long as the item is original and in very good condition or unopened they will pay extra for it just because of the James Bond connection. I accept even though it was produced in large numbers the number that still have unopened accessories and mint box will most probably be quite small. When Miss UK tries to sell it is when we shall know one way or the other.
