Hi there,

I've been walking and searching through this forum looking for a solution how to copy or move contacts, messages and calendar items from my K800 to my brand new P990.

I succeeded copying the contacts and calendar items using SE PC Suite, SE PC Suite for Smartphones and Outlook. But still I can't get my SMS messages copied from my K800 to my P990.

I've tried (of course) SE PC Suite first. I also tried FMA and MyPhoneExplorer but these last 2 don't recognize my P990. (because of the Symbian OS?)

Is there a tool to copy the messages also? (it would be great if MMS messages can be copied also!)

I think K700 and K750 users will love this too (as well as many other users?), so I thought it would be nice to mention these phones also so that this thread will popup as a result in a search.

depending how many you have, you could use the "save message" function of the k800 to store the messages on your sim card giving you access to them on the p990

Uh... it far more than only just a few messages

I've been using this phone quite intensive, so it would be nice if I can copy them in one single action.

I've been exporting them from my K800 using FMA (csv and xml). Is there an application which can import them into my P990? It doesn't need to be one single application, but I haven't found an application which can import the messages into the P990 yet.

Any suggestions?

Have you seen Zyb.com? Over a data connection (remote sync), you can upload calendar, contact, and SMS entries from your K800i onto the account you create online.

Then, after setting up the remote sync on your P990, download the the calendar, contact, and SMS entries from your online account (go to the tools section on the Zyb website).

I've used it with my m600 and P990 for calendar and contacts but not SMS (this is a new feature that was recently added)and it worked flawlessly.

I'm looking at zyb.com right now but the only way to backup SMS messages is to forward the SMS (you want to backup) to one of their numbers. So that doesn't realy do the trick (and costs lots of money also)
