i have changed my phones cover now i have no sound when i ring out what have i done?

Is it a genuine cover you've put on, as the non-gen ones tend to be a poor fit and cause problems like this. Or have you accidentally bent any pins on the speaker unit so they're not making proper contact with the mainboard?
If so, gently bend them back into the correct position.

Where is the speaker unit i am new to all this! what part of the phone i know i sound really thick!

is there no sound at all? or does it sound muffled, cos' it could be the speaker holes are blocked? i noticed that there are some foam protecting the speaker grill at the back, maybe there's another protective layer you have to take off?
